Herb Walk: Indian Valley Preserve, Novato • May 11 • 10-1pm

We are blessed to live in one of the most biologically rich areas in the world, from wetlands and estuaries to coastal scrub and chaparral to grasslands and redwood forests. Each ecosystem fosters a diversity of edible and medicinal plants that have been used as food and medicine for time immemorial. Learn to identify our abundance of California native plants and wild weeds and explore their traditional and current medicinal uses.

These walks are at an easy pace and suitable for all ages. Bring a notepad and pen, snacks and water and appropriate outdoor attire. Learn to see the world around you with a new understanding and a deeper connection to the natural world.

The trailhead is located at 1681 Indian Valley Rd, Novato. Directions can be found here. Park on the street and meet at 11am at the trailhead. More information about the park can be found here.
