Seven Herbs Along the Medicine Wheel
A path through the seven directions, seven plant medicines and seven healing laws.
Join Nchaatwa in this introductory flower essence for spiritual healing class where the intercourse of plant medicine, healing principles and the medicine wheel provides a map for personal healing and growth. Nchaatwa spent 8 years of deep immersion in the teachings of Matthew Wood's book Seven Herbs: Plants as Teachers. The first year was spent working with one herb per month for seven months which then resulted in a need to forge a deeper and more intimate relationship with each of the seven herbs, one per year for the next seven years. This introductory course is the amalgamation of those learnings and deep relations with an Indigenous American lens.
Cost: $90. Space is limited to 12 people.
When: Saturday, December 12th from 1-5pm.
Nchaatwa is a medicine carrier whose maternal lineage is Dutch, German and Russian descent and his paternal lineage is Irish, English and Mohican. Nchaatwa was initiated into the healing world at the age of 26. In 1994 Nchaatwa was gifted with a vision calling him to carry medicine for healing and received his name from his Mohican great great uncle. From 2011 through 2018 Nchaatwa was immersed in walking the medicine wheel with the flower essences described in Matthew Wood's book Seven Herbs: Plants as Teachers. In October 2019 Nchaatwa was called through the dreamtime to bring forward three ceremonies as instructed by the Corn Mother for healing inter-generational trauma. Along the way he has had the opportunity to work on the revitalization of the Mohican language, learning the stories, songs and dances of his ancestors; holding healing ceremonies and being of service to his brothers and sisters recovering from addictions, dealing with incarceration, struggling with mental health issues and end of life transition; helping people on their healing journeys. In the many indigenous cultures all illness is viewed as spiritual in nature, Nchaatwa's training and teaching is focused on spiritual healing.
